About Us

Middle East & Africa (MEA) ALM Community is an independent, non -profit community, dedicated to supporting, educating, and promoting Microsoft Application Lifecycle Management tools and technologies. The key mission of our community is to provide a strong and vibrant community for the different roles involved in software development and delivery to enable them build better software using Microsoft Visual Studio Tools and Technologies. In MEA ALM Community, our respected Professionals, MVPs and experts will be discussing all the aspects of the Application Lifecycle (Governance, Development, Testing, Maintenance, etc…) as well as the tooling that enables teams to develop better software..

    Ayman El-Hattab

    SharePoint Practice Lead

    Ayman El-Hattab is a Regional Technology Evangelist focusing on helping software professionals and organizations build better SharePoint solutions using Microsoft Application Lifecycle Management technologies and tools. Ayman has been in this role since 2010 and has presented at many conferences all over the Middle East & Africa about SharePoint 2007/2010/2013, ALM, Team Foundation Server, C#, ASP.NET and Microsoft Business Intelligence technologies. Ayman is also a SharePoint Most Valuable Professional [SharePoint MVP], ALM Ranger, published author (SharePoint 2010/13 Unleashed) and an enthusiastic speaker who enjoys working with the online and offline developer communities all over the world. Ayman is a Co-founder of MEA ALM Community & SharePoint4Arabs, community lead at Egypt SharePoint User Group and an organizer for several SharePoint Saturday events. Outside of work, Ayman can be found watching soccer games, playing Xbox games or watching documentary movies.

  • Hosam Kamel

    Hosam Kamel

    Regional Technology Solution Professional (MEA Center of Expertise)

    Hosam Kamel is a Regional Technology Solution Professional at MEA Center of Expertise focusing on development tools and application lifecycle management technologies and tools. Hosam is also a Visual Studio ALM Ranger who can often be seen speaking about software development, most frequently about software development lifecycle and web technologies in many events. He has an interest in and knowledge of Microsoft Technology in general and, more specifically, Development tools. His goal is to enable people to do better software development using the best practices at development, infrastructure and architecture level making use of great tools provided by Microsoft.  Hosam is also an active contributor to the official Microsoft ASP.NET forums.

  • Mohamed Radwan

    Mohamed Radwan is a Visual Studio ALM MVP, Senior ALM Consultant @ Marvel ALM with 10+ years of experience in the software industry (Architecture, Design, Development and Management) specializing in Microsoft Technologies and Agile Methodologies with a customer list that spans the Middle East. M.Radwan’s areas of focus are: C# / .NET, ASP.NET, MVC, JQuery, TDD, BDD, Team Build, TFS, Application Architecture, Agile, Process Automation and Improvement, Configuration Management and Automation. M.Radwan is the founder of TFSEG User Group, Co-founder of MEAALM Community, the author of DevMagicFake Mocking Framework and a frequent speaker in different Microsoft events.
    M.Radwan also holds M.Sc. of Computer Sciences and Information Technology in Agile Methodologies.
    M.Radwan holds number of Microsoft certifications including MCT, MCPD, MCITP in EPM, MCTS (7), MCSD, MCAD and CIW

  • Ahmed Nasr

    Ahmed Nasr is an ALM / TFS Consultant, specializing in helping customers and companies improve their software processes by using the Microsoft ALM tools. Ahmed was VP of Technology at DashSoft. He has over 3 years of experience in Data Warehousing using Teradata and was one of the Pre-Launch teams in Etialast .Since 2005 he has been working with various technologies (Microsoft ASP.NET, WCF, dotnetnuke, Silverlight, Oracle, Teradata...).He has an interest in and knowledge of Microsoft Technologies in general and more specifically Team Foundation System. He has Passion for Agile and software process customization. He loves to learn new technologies, practices and spreading knowledge.Ahmed is also a community lead at MEA ALM Community and member in dotnetwork community. Also he is a public speaker in Microsoft Open Door Event in Egypt 2012 and Cairo Code Camp Events. Outside work Ahmed loves going to cinema, playing games and enjoy going on safari.

Ahmed has a Bachelor degree in Computer Systems Engineering and a Master's degree in Technology Innovation Management. He presented in Techdays, Ottawa .NET Community (ODNC), and OttawaCodeCamp.

    Raouf started my career as a Software Developer where he was first introduced to ALM using Microsoft tools and technologies, and then he joined Microsoft as a Technical Audience Marketing Executive where he enjoyed being among the Developer Community, then he went through a program named MACH (Microsoft Academy for College Hires)

    Mohammed Omar is an ALM Consultant with more than 6 years’ experience in Microsoft Technologies including C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET (MVC/Web-Forms), Software Architecture, Agile Methodologies, Entity Framework, WCF, Source Safe, Team Foundation Server, and SharePoint. Mohammed is a Community Leader at MEA ALM Community and holds a number of Microsoft Certificates including MCP, MCTS, MCAD, MCSD and MCPD. He also holds M.Sc. in Computer Sciences and Information Technology in Application Lifecycle Management. When he has free time, Mohamed enjoys playing Piano & Guitar and spending time on Flight Simulation.
